We offer food colors of the highest quality from proven producers.
According to the legal regulations in force, there is no distinction among natural, nature-identical and synthetic colors, so using such terms on labels or quality documents is not allowed.
The general rule is that colors of natural origin are weaker and more sensitive to external factors such as temperature, light or pH, while those obtained chemically have greater coloring strength, are longer lasting and more resistant to external factors.
Liquid colors are offered in packages of 1 – 30 kg.
The colors we provide meet the requirements of the currently applicable food law, in particular Commission Regulation (EU) No 231/2012 of 9 March 2012 laying down specifications for food additives listed in Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) No. 1333/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council (as amended).
Is use of the food colors legal?
The use of colors in food is in many cases limited. Detailed guidelines specifying the maximum dosage for selected food categories can be found in the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EC) No 1333/2008 of December 16, 2008 on food additives (as amended). On the other hand, the labeling of foodstuffs containing colours should meet the requirements of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on the provision of food information to consumers […] (as amended).
